well there are just so many chinese period .and everybody has to be somewhere.
on a more serious note it is this writers opinion that the chinese gov't has been at war with the u.s. since the 50's,i know this because they tried to kill my father in korea.in his words "we were kicking the s**t out of the north koreans ,
and then came about a million chinese.they didn't even all have guns they just picked up the weapons of their fallen comrades and continued to attack.we fired our machine guns until the barrels melted down ,then we fired our rifles until we were out of ammo,then we fixed bayonets until we broke them off ,after which we swung our rifles as bats ,and still they came and then we killed them with our bare hands and fists until at last they came no more."for this action dad received a purple heart and a bronze star and years later was denied treatment at the v.a. because his benefits ran out ,being as the korean conflict was a police action and not a war ,he died at age 56.
so back to the question at hand,i'm sure that a lot of good people have come here for the same reason our forefathers came ,seeking a better life and more opportunities for their families .however the chinese gov't has been gathering weapons and ammo for the last 50 or so years ,biding their time and waiting for the chance to conquer yet another mongol nation.

Probably for the same reason my mother's parents came from Germany and my father's parents came from Canada. They wanted to leave the oppression of "the old country" and, in my dad's case, to make a better living at a better job. Why are most people here? It's the best place in the world, where we can say what we think, without repercussions. Freedom!

A couple of reasons I can think of: Excellent university level education so they can learn more about undermining our country and, secondly, Chinese people who have fled the repression and want to be free in this country.

why are they so many white Americans in America?? because they or there ancestors immigrated there. so what would make Chinese different from white americans
