Don't trust any religious leaders. You would never trust your child with a stranger, why would you trust a religious leader you don't know.
Most have very dark disturbing backgrounds which is why they got into religion in the first place. People who are open, honest and thoughtful don't need religion as a crutch.

If you are talking about the preacher at your local church, most likely yes. if you are talking about a right-wing politician, which tries to play preacher on tv...I wouldn't even trust leaving my kids alone with them!
