will i still be able to use the whole 20 gigs?

Yes you can. Partition a section about 9 gb in size and you can ghost the other drive to it.

The identical hardware response above is nonsense.

you dont need to down size the 20 gig, ghost will work it out, the only thing it will destroy any other info on the 20 gig, so if you want to keep stuff then you will have to create a little partition

the identicle hardware comment applies if you are ghosting the OS system.

Only if the hardware you for the 20 gig hard drive is identical - ie - same kind of computer or the same computer.
