No. Nowitzki does not rebound well enough and does not play enough physical defense to warrant consideration as the top power forward. Nor does he have a real post game. This is not a knock against Dirk. He is still a superb shooter and an amazing player. But there are others much better than him at his position.
The best ever would have to be Tim Duncan. He is only only an automatic bucket with his invincible post game as well as an awesome rebounder, he does all the little things that win championships, such as recognizing when to pass to teammates, and when to help out on defense. In short, he is ot only a great individual player, but the perfect teammate (which is why he has so many rings)!

As much as I love Dirk, I must admit he is not the best power forward ever. The best are Charles barkley, Karl Malone, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan and then Dirk Nowitzki. The things that will make Dirk even better are Physical defense and Better post game and this year he has pretty much improved in both of those categories.

No. I have to admit he has some skills. Dirk Nowitzki will remain up there because he shoots from everywhere and he's 7 foot 0. There are better ones active like Stoudamire and garnett, and people from the past like Kurt Rambus.Overall he is like 7th or so.

lol not even close
Charles Barkley? Karl Malone? Tim Duncan? Kevin Garnett?
Has Nowitzki even made a bigger impact than Rodman? Arguably, but he might not land on a top ten list of power forwards.

If you're asking is if He is the best.. well, maybe He is the best POWER FORWARD GERMAN PLAYER to have ever played in the NBA.
But there are the likes of (Players without championship ring) Kevin Garnett, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley who are or have dominated in that position.
I think, Tim Duncan is the BEST in that category with his rings and very basic basketball style.

as much as i love dirk, i think he is not the best power forward ever, but he is one of the premiere forwards in the league right now. he may not be the typical "strong" power forwards in the nba, but thes the most unique power forwards who have stepped in the nba. he can shoot 3's and overall good perimeter game.

hello... he plays for boston. Number 21 for many years, currently wearing number 5. Least selfish player ever. The people in Minnesota still love him. I'm not even gunna say his name because if your a true basketball fan, u would have figured it out by now.

not at this point,
but he definitely has the potential!!!
by looking at his points and the shots he makes,
he could be considered the best,
but his defense is not as good as those of tim duncan or kevin garnett,
so, i guess it's a yes and no for me!!
sorry for any confusion!!!
