The dog is not allowed to sleep on the bed. But the bedroom door was open and she had access to the room. The feather doona does have a duvet cover, she weed through that also. And my dog is toilet trained until recently when she has started weeing in odd places. please see my other question re dog wetting.

Wet the area with peroxide and then rub Arm & Hammer Baking Soda into it. Let it dry, and vacuum. It will take out the stain and the odor.

Then say "Bad Doggy"

Really, the peroxide and Baking soda does work. We have Chihuahuas and they have accidents every now and then so we found this idea in a pet book. Tried it, and presto, that problem was fixed. I threatened diapers for the next one to wet on the carpet.

I would really like to suggest that the dog NOT be allowed to sleep in the bed... It leads to other BAD behaviors, not to mention the possible accident(s) and pet smells on your bed.. YUCK>...

You should beable to wash a featherbed in your washing machine... I have several and I've washed them in my regular washing machine.. However, if you are afraid or if the capasity is too small then give it a wash in the laundrymat... Feather down when wet shrinks down to nothing.. In a double capasity washer I washed 2 Queen down comforters/2 queen regular comforters w/o any problems.. Just bring acouple of new tennis balls for the dryer to fluff up the blankets... Also, NOW is a great time to invest in a duvet for the feather comforter AND a waterproof mattress pad ! That way any pee accident won't get down into the mattress.

You can spot clean your mattress with a bit of peroxide/baking soda... Just be sure NOT to saturate the stain or it will mildew.. You can speed up drying with a fan or hairdryer....

Good luck
