I noticed one answer I like is 'The Golden Rule'.
But just recently I found out the hard way that to some that means to do to others as you would have them do to you, (which is my conception of the rule,) -but others see it as ' he who has the gold makes the rule' All people have the same capability to give good or evil- you cannot judge people by what the package appears as.....If you choose to walk in love & light, trust & believe in it- it shows beyond the physical....Bless you for asking & encouraging thoughts on this....Perhaps this world would be a better place for us all if we realized we are all brothers, in spite of what we perceive as differences...

It's not as hard as people make it out to be. Treat each person as an individual not a black man or Mexican or whatever classification you are focusing on. Stereo types lump the good in with the bad so try your best to not put someone in a grouping and if you can't avoid it, give them a shot to prove that wrong. For example (don't come down on me people), a common stereo type around where I live is that Mexican women get pregnant to keep a man who has more money. Now, yes it does happen but not just with the Mexicans so that makes it an unfair justification. Women all over the world do it too. Most stereo types can be broken down to rubble by looking at society and at the people them selves. Race is only a color, economic status is merely how much money they have. Money doesn't make the person, skin color wont force said person to become a thief. To each their own and the choices they make. Give general respect until you have the information to form an accurate opinion off a fair chance. I like the question.

Well, that's quite simple. You should treat everyone the same, and with the same respect. No one should deserve more respect than another person. The key is to treat people the way you want to be treated.

This question brings the normal answers that we have seen so far. Perhaps a better question would be this:
How do you treat/respect the person standing in front of you that has a gun pointed in your face and has demanded that you give him your paycheck, which you just got cashed?

I treat them all the same, at first. Everyone gets a chance, till they show me otherwise that they don't deserve respect.

Ya that's an obvious question. Treat them with respect and just how you would treat people in your family.
