well the reseach i have done on it has shown, that not as meds are brought to market as in our system now, so basicly less Pharmaceutical firms will be needed.

so this means many jobs will be lost especially smaller companies like bilcare.

so less meds available , less jobs in that field, so where is the plus ?

i work for a small med firm i dont want to lose my job because we arent researching large amounts of new meds like we are now , when my job is on the line i have a right to be bias

we'll spend more money and lose a large amount of jobs, i dont think ppl thought about this side just wanted to put it out there.

plus not to mention places like england have recorded a large amount of their population leaving to get med care

As a person living in a country where essential medical care is funded by a medicare system (Australia), I feel bound to say that it has many advantages over the US system:
1. It is in accord with our attitude toward the basic dignity of human life. I find it kind of bizarre that the same people who condemn abortion and voluntary euthanasia because of their beliefs about the essential sanctity of human life (i.e., Republicans and the Christian Right in general) are not 100% behind a medical system that ensures that a basic standard of medical care is available to everyone.
2. Looking beyond the immediate cost of a medicare program, there are very real economic returns - people who receive proper medical care recover from illness faster than those who do not, and so can return to work sooner. People who receive proper rehabilition services function better in a workplace, and are more productive.
3. Herd immunity - the more effectively disease is controlled in a population, the better for all of us.
4. Though a medicare system may force down the unit price of health-related products and services, many more people are in turn able to access these products and services (new customers). I doubt profits would be affected much.

Even if you already know the meaning of the word "Socialism", look it up in the dictionary. Social programs = $$$ spent. This country is in a bad financial situation, not the right time for more spending.

Regarding being biased because it affects your job, that's a fine line. In any decision, it's wisest to think of the consequences for:
1. You
2. Your family
3. Your group (i.e. company you work for, your country, your circle of friends, and any other group you're involved with)
4. Mankind as a whole
5. All life (plants, animals, bugs, fish, dogs, you name it)
6. The environment

Good = that which does the most good for #1-6 above. Let this guide your decision.

If you worked for a nuclear bomb manufacturer, that might be good for #s 1 & 3, but bad for all the rest. Once the bombs starting being used, it would be bad for all of them.

This is the true definition of good - that which does the most good for #s 1-6 above. Bad is what that which does the most bad for #s 1-6. Honestly determine if you're situation does more good or more bad for #s 1-6. Worst case scenario, you might have to get a new job! But only through honesty and integrity will you follow the GOOD path.

Vote for Obama, and stop dealing with the pipe dreams that are fraudulent by Hillary Rodham Clinton, she wants the country to be on Welfare. Is this what you want?

Same as before.

"I don't recall."
As I have selected US questions only, I find this non-question strange.
I have not heard anyone advocate socialized medicine.
