I was just wondering, because I'm watching the football game now, and Aloha Stadium is PACKED!!

What a lame question: Why are Ohio State and Michigan enemies? Why are LSU and Georgia enemies? Why are Texas and Oklahoma enemies? The answer to all of those questions have a common denominator----They all are conference rivals and want their conference titles instead of the other team getting it.

Both teams are 7-0 in the WAC, so they are playing for their conference championship. Plus Hawaii is a big deal this year, could be like the BCS-Buster that Boise State was last year.
They arent necessarily "rivals" per say, but this is certainly the best game in WAC history.

Because these are the two teams that usually battle it out for the WAC title. Although Fresno State will every once in awhile make a run at that title.

Are USC and Notre Dame not rivals? Hawaii and Boise State play in the same conference.

more like conference rivals, not enemies. boise state is like the new BYU when they were in the WAC back in the 80's and 90's.

Only two decent teams in a really crappy conference. That's the only reason, as this is only their 9th meeting (BSU leads their series 6-2, having won the last 6).
