Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the smell of garlic out of plastic?

I put garlic in a glass bottle with a plastic seal inside. (silly idea) The glass is fine, but the plastic part smells awful! It's a good bottle and I don't think it will seal properly without the plastic.

Rub the plastic seal with lemon skin the smell will disappear. If not soak it in water & bleach.

squeeze the juice of a lemon onto the seal and then wash with soapy water again.

Easy, just soak it in some salt water for an hour.

fill it with HOT water and a box of baking soda let sit overnight
