Ok on Dr.Phil today they were talking about young Ladies and the fact that their clothing is a bit too revealing like you can see too much skin and um other areas of their body especially the crotch and crack (think Sharon Stone basic instinct) how much influence do these singers movie stars and actress's these kids look up to play in this if they dressed more modestly would the effect trickle down to the young kids?

Just want to say....
I think it's ok to have style and dress nice but dressing like a hooker or a tramp sends the wrong message even if the young ladies who dress like that way don't see it that way.

It depends upon the country in which the person is living in, and also her upbringing by her parents.
I am an Australian (Anglo-Saxon) and I find that many girls in Australia, the US, Britain and other Western European countries dress too revealingly. I have also lived and worked in some Asian countries and the cultural attitudes are that a "decent girl" should dress conservatively. How conservatively depends upon the Asian country and its exposure to Western customs. Personally I like how the girls in Singapore and Hong Kong wear their clothes, which is a good compromise, or the country girls in Thailand and the girls in Cambodia which is more conservative.

This is where parents come into play. Parents get to decide, or should be the ones using good judgment when it comes to how their kids dress. The parents are the ones buying the clothes, so they should be the ones to put limits on what the kids can wear. I don't think movie stars have as much influence as parents do, or at least should have.

YES they should dress more conservative. It gives the impression they are not very moral and want guys to think sexually of them.
I saw a young lady recently with a push up bra that made her look deformed........not attractive at all.
Also the clothes designers make the clothes to look like something Brittany Spears wears or other stripper type stars.

Yes! i think Teens in this area should dress more conservative. There is way too many short short skirts. its horible! me, being 15. prefurable likes to were kakies (sp?) or a pair of jeans, with a non-revealing top.
Girls today are way to easy and slutty. Its absoulutly horrid : (

All about how that young lady was raised, and what was considered to be "descent" in the household defines her dressing style.
