We have a wood-sided house in Southeastern Michigan, and a woodpecker has decided to grace us with his presence. How do we get rid of him legally and humanely? Serious answers only please, we are trying to sell/rent the house and dont want to scare people away as it is VERY annoying. Thanks in advance for your help!

The woodpecker is there because the bugs that he eats are there.

Perhaps they sell humane traps for birds. After you trap the bird, you set him away far away from your house.
