Can West Virginia stay ahead of both Missouri and Kansas if they beat UConn? What if they run the score up? And what are the chances Missouri and Kansas will BOTH be ranked ahead of WVU should Missouri win, given that it will be one loss each for Kansas and Missouri?

Well first off, Kansas is ranked ahead of WVU already at #2. WVU being #3. So, The winner of the KU vs. MIZZOU game will more than likely jump to #1 following the LSU loss earlier. With that said, WVU will move up to #2 after they beat up UCONN tomorrow.

Now the chances that the loser of the Mizzou-KU game remain ranked ahead of WVU is an absolute 0% chance just because we all have already heard the knocks against both teams outta conference schedule and the fact that should you lose in the NCAA its best to lose early that way you have the opportunity to build yourself back up.

In my opinion, the National Title game will be #1 WVU vs. #2 OSU just because I believe that the winner of KU-MIZZOU will end up losing in the Big 12 title game opening the door for them patsies from Columbus to get embarassed in the national spotlight for the 2nd straight year.

Should West Virginia win (and it doesn't matter by how much, especially as they're playing a ranked opponent, something OSU doesn't know anything about), they will be the #2 team behind the Kansas-Missouri winner. OSU will be #3. The Kansas-Missouri loser's place is really going to depend on the score of the game, but you could imagine that a 2-loss Missouri would fall further than a 1-loss Kansas.

I think it's quite possible for Missouri to move ahead of West Virginia if they win. Beating a #2 team should be worthy of jumping up like that. If Kansas loses, they'll be a strong 1 loss team, but they'll take a big hit because so many people aren't convinced about them. They're the only BCS undefeated team and can't even get #1. They'll drop to the back end of the top 10 should they lose.

52 % of the ESPN sports nation go with Missouri to win. I think Kansas will pull this one out. Though I pick against them on ESPN's college pickem.

Edit: I screwed up here sorry. West Virginia's been great in recent years so I think they should. They were really impressive against Georgia in a bowl game a year or two ago -- Kansas would have to drop below Missouri (because of the head to head) and Missouri would have to be below a West Virginia team that's been all over the top 5 this year and I believe last.

Yes. they will/would. But the rankings dont really matter at this point. The national championship is already in a pretty linear function:

-if winner of Kansas/Missouri beats OK in Big 12 championship, they go to nat. championship
-if West Virginia wins out, they go
-if one of those does not happen, Ohio State goes
-if neither happen, LSU goes if they win the SEC championship. Georgia would go if Tennessee loses to Kentucky tomorrow and then THEY beat LSU.

Yes, just like WV leaped Missouri last week because of there big win, so will Missouri. Also WV is in a three way tie for third place in the computer rankings. One of those teams was Arizona State. Missouri was sixth in the computers. So Missouri will gain more than WV will in computers along with the big win.

The winner of the Kansas Mizzu game will be the new #1 team. The best WVU can hope for is winning big (blow out)against UConn. If WVU squeaks by, OSU could pass them for the all important #2 slot.

I really do not think that Missouri will beat Kansas and I think Kansas will be ranked #1.
