Am I the only one who remembers the fish reading the address on the swim goggles?

While fish can't read any human languages (at least that we know of!), they have a "language" of their own. Fish change colors to communicate their moods and breeding conditions to other fish. Some also produce phermones (chemical scents) to communicate fear, danger, aggression, and mating interests. But that's about as close as it gets.

There have been dolphins that have been trained to respond to and understand a set of symbols. The symbols represented objects or actions, just like words. The dolphin were able to understand and communicate with their handlers using these symbols.

But, since dolphin aren't fish (they're mamals) I guess that doesn't count. I've never heard of any fish using language.

O, YES. Fish can read, write, even can drive the car. You can also see fish investing money in a stock market, especially if the stock market located in the nearest supermarket.

yes of course, they can read BODY LANGUAGE. If you've ever kept fish, you'd know they intertact with you when you come to the tank. Koi fish come to you when you feed them or if you clap their hands. They're kind of like dogs

Yes, Dory is fluent in Spanish, and English! E-S-C-A-P-E... you know, it's funny... it looks like "es-cop-ay", but it's really "es-cape"!

But seriously, fish can't read, write, hear, or do anything associated with human-specific action...
