my friend told me that while he was trying to update bios, there was an error... and i beleive it stops everything...
and when he try to turn his computer on again, it says the bios is crashed...

his motherboard is P5B Deluxe/Wifi - AP...

Can someone plz help?? thx!!!

FIRST, HE DID NOT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! and/or he MIGHT have used the wrong update version. (IF he had he would have made a backup of the original BIOS FIRST!)

Now, he can possibly try again IF he put the update and program on a separate BOOTABLE disc, OR have the BIOS reloaded by a shop (IF possible, sometimes it isn't), OR replace the BIOS chip.

One should LEARN HOW to do something before trying it!!

This is serious, BIOS update gone wrong turns the board, in this case motherboard, into useless circuit plate.

He should've done it safely in a controlled environment. Rumor had it back in the ISA days ancient ISA video cards could revive a Pentium classic with crashed BIOS but ISA is ancient history itself. Your friend need a new mobo, any fix is way costlier.
