miss about childhood?

For me, it's the simple innocence of being a little child, the care free days. Oh how I wish those days would come back!!

I miss having both of my parents alive, I miss coming home to a cooked meal and my parents hugs and kisses. I miss going to sleep knowing that my daddy will come to wake me up in the morning just to say " I am going to work and when I come back we are going to the beach, so be good at school and have a good time", I miss family day on sunday after church, with all my cousins and my uncles and aunts, my siblings, my parents we all will go to the river and have a cook out. I miss being happy.

i didn't have a good childhood, i don't miss it much. If anything, i only miss the times when i could talk to people and not be able to read between the lines. Im happier now that im 19 and soon to go out on my own.

As salaamu 'alaikym, my freind.

Insha'Allah, I have many wonderful memories of my early, middle and late childhood, of my teenage years and the twenties, thrities, forties and now my fifties as well as many less than wonderful memories of the same.

Insha'Allah, the past, for me, is just that, the past. Insha'Allah, I hope that I have learned from the experieince of the same as all of it is what has made me who I am now. Alhumdulillah!

Insha'Allah, as it is literally well below freezing where I am presently, and as it was wonderfully warm year round where I spent a great amount of my childhood and teenage years, I must say that I miss the warmth!

Ma'a salaam.

Me too! I remember growing up in Huntington Beach, California in the 60s it was safe for us neighborhood kids to play outside in the evenings until the streetlights came on. We could also go around the whole block trick or treating.

Specifically when I was in elementary school and I came home at 2:30 and watched Nickelodeon. I'm in high school now and with school and basketball practice I don't get home till 7. Also Nickelodeon is a joke compared to what it once was.

I miss not really needing anything I didn't have. Lately it seems like I'm always in need of some stupid thing I cannot get for one reason or another.

I don't miss childhood because I'm loving my grandbaby's childhood and it makes me cherish what I can do for her to make it a great childhood that she will remember fondly.
