Jason Kidd or Steve Nash. Good question, lets see.

Jason Kidd -
90 regular season triple doubles [ranks 3rd all time]
8 time NBA all star team
6 time All NBA team
9 time all defensive team
rookie of the year.

Additional Info.
-Great defender.
-Average 3 point shooting.
- 2nd overall pick in the 1994 by Dallas Mavericks.
-Nicknames Mr. Triple Double, J-Kidd.

Steve Nash -
2 time NBA MVP awards [ almost 3 in a row.]
5 time NBA All Star
5 time All NBA team

Additional Info.
-Led the league in assists and assists per game for the last 3 years.
-Excellent free throw shooter.
-Makes teammates better.
-Can take charges, sacrifices himself to help his team win.

They both are great point guards, but overall i think Jason Kidd will go down as the better point guard. Steve Nash and Jason Kidd are probably two of the best point guards in the league right now. Not statistally alway, but what they do for their teams, and how they help their teams win.

My favorite player is Nash but I'm going to answer this without a bias because I've always loved Kidd's game too. I think Steve Nash could quite possibly be the greatest PG the NBA has ever seen. People that say Steve Nash can't play defense are people that do not watch him play. I will agree that he's not the best on-ball defender but he's not a liability. However, defense consists of a whole lot more than just on-ball defense and Steve Nash plays very solid defense in terms of where you are supposed to be on the floor. That being said, Jason Kidd is definitely a better defender than Steve Nash. If that's the argument for Kidd however, Steve Nash has the best shot and scoring ability than any PG in the history of the NBA and Kidd can't hit a barn. Combine that with Nash's court vision, pass-first attitude, and the ability to find a seam when no one thinks there is one, and you have the best PG in the history of the game, maybe behind only John Stockton and Bob Cousy. I know I will probably take some heat for this one (especially with all of the Nash haters out there), but atleast I emphasized on my answer.

I think if you had asked this question at the beginning of their pro careers there wouldn't be any question that Jason Kidd would have been the choice. Kidd is still a great player, but I think by the time their careers are over, Steve Nash will probably go down as the player who had the most impact.

Kidd is a greater finished participant. He does each little thing and unquestionably performs protection. Nash would not even attempt to gaurd his guy. Nash performs with Amare, Shawn Marion, Boris Diaw, Lehandro Barbosa, Raja Bell, and so on. Nash performs with Carter and Jefferson. Nash has a bigger suppporting forged. Nash gets greater assists because of the equipment the Suns play in. Thay play in a run and gun type Nash gets many, many, oppurtunities for assists and pictures. The Nets additionally play in a slower equipment, giving Kidd much less possibilities for stats, yet Kidd nonetheless places up 15, 8, 10 a sport. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, Kidd making it to the finals two times became into very deceptive. The East became into honestly poor those years. Nash has had to safeguard the Spurs, the Mavs, and different great communities. Kidd is largely a million inch taller than Nash, yet his all-around sport makes him a bigger participant. Kidd.

Kidd is the more complete player. But you know history probably will be more favorable for Nash because he is seen as a more team friendly guard. Remember the MVP award. Kidd is a legit trip double a night and thus has my vote

Great question. At the end of the day, Jason Kidd will likely get a very slight edge because of his will to win and ability to make a great play when it matters.
