Do you have an aquacar or an old DUKW, or some sort of amphibious vehicle? If not, you just joined the Alcatraz swim team. And even at that, you'd better start your trip on an INcoming tide! (Former bay area resident, who has seen the bow-waves on the bouys around Alcatraz)

I agree with Tony. You definitely wouldn't make 500 miles on the first day. If you tried to drive from Alcatraz Island, you'd be lucky to make it 500 feet before sinking in the bay.

From what I gather, that is 1660 miles. So, about three days + IF you drive 500 miles per day.

Well, I meant San Francisco to Texas, but, true I am a fool.

Ho ho ho-- ANOTHER trick question!!!
It is impossible to drive from Alcatraz; it's an island in the middle of San Francisco Bay.
