I was reading about how Kansas-Missouri is the second longest rivalry (first game in 1891). My question is, what is the first longest? First one to answer it correctly gets the ten.

Depends if you're talking about longest as in most played or longest as in oldest first game, and if you're talking about all of college football, or just Division I-A. The most played rivalry in all of college football is Lehigh-Lafayette, who just played for the 143rd time. The most played rivalry in Division I-A is Wisconsin-Minnesota, who met for the 117th time last week. Their first meeting was in 1890.
There are many rivalries which started before Kansas-Missouri. Princeton and Yale met for the first time in 1873, Princeton and Columbia in 1874. Yale and Harvard met for the first time in 1875. Lehigh and Lafayette didn't start until 1884. Army and Navy first met in 1890 as well.

The oldest in what division? Harvard - Yale (1875)is the oldest and 3rd most played in college football. The one that is played most often is Princeton - Yale and Lehigh - Lafayette. Amherst vs. Willams is listed as the the oldest in the NCAA division 3.

I don't know. I am on the football team at My school. the schools in our division are, so small that, We play Correspondence football. We mail in 1 play a week. We are in the 3rd Quarter and, We lead 11-3. the game started on AUGUST 23rd, 1980. with a little luck, We could win the CBCS. (Correspondence Bowl Championship Series).

Hmmm, I always though Mizzou and Kansas were the longest because it's roots were set in the Civil war...maybe they dont count roots.
