I was a co-signer for an apartment for my sister and she didnt finish the lease. Does it look bad on my credit? What can I do it fix it or explain it when I go to rent?

You are another victim of the 'co-sign' situation. When you co-sign for another, you are effectively agreeing to pay the debt incurred by that person if the person fails to live up to their financial agreement. Your sister has let you down, and now you will pay the price for your courtesy when YOU go looking for a place to rent.

You can fix it by paying what she did NOT pay. Then consider the payment an expensive lesson and don't ever co-sign for anyone again.
