I washed 2 dark articles..cotton..my husband's shirt and my pants that are probably with polyester along with some towels..now these two have lint..i did try to put them thru simply wash cycle in cold water..the lint is still there..what about putting in dryer on air? but i don't think it will remove it all..should i rewash and rewash until it comes out?

The dark cotton items, wearing a film of light colored fuzz can be helped.
You have wet them again - so stick them in the drier with other dark items (towel, blue jeans, etc.) It does not matter that the other items are already dry. As your linted items brush-up against other firm fabrics this will help to brush the lint off.

Another method. Start with dry items covered in lint. Pull out your roll of tape (clear works better than masking), wrap tape around your hand, sticky side out, and dab at the lint to remove it.

Try using wide tape to pull off as much lint as possible. Use a good clothes brush, put them in the dryer on air (be sure to clean the lint filter first). Then, rewash everything. That should do the trick.
