The best thing to happen to me is existence. This is an entire series of events that led to my life and being born. More importantly, that series of events that led to the birth of my children. I am a writer and I am speechless when it comes to the description of the emotions I felt when I first looked into those brilliant black eyes of my sons. I reminisce of my eldest son and my first experience as a father. It was as if he held all the knowledge of the universe in those tiny orbs. Somehow, if I could ask that newborn infant the meaning of all things, I might have the answers I so desperately sought my whole life. But maybe I found them anyway, just by holding my children in my arms and staring into his beautiful face. No, these words fail me! This is inadequate. I am sorry. I love my children more than words can allow me say.
This is the week of Thanksgiving in the USA. We are supposed to give thanks. My eldest son was born 11 years ago this week. What more do I have to be thankful for? I am a grown man and it still brings tears to my eyes.

Surviving a rare blood disorder that I was born with. If that hadn't happened I would not have all that I have today including a trio of beautiful daughter's and some really great friends and a therapist who finally gives me hope for over coming depression!!
