I wanted to be a singer/musician. I used to sing and make up songs in the car on the way to church as a toddler. I love to sing. I have great passion and talent. I can sing. I still write music today. I never feel more alive than when I am on stage. I own the world! I am real.
I am a writer now. I have finished my first two novels. And I have many shorts stories and a great deal of poetry. I write fiction. My poetry is not my real talent. Again, writing is my passion. I feel alive when I write.
So I trade one art for another. But I am an artist at heart. But I love science and math as well. I was a Physics major in college before switching to English. There is a beauty to mathematics that should never be ignored. Science can be applied to art. Ah, I could write about this for a long time.
But no matter what you do, never lose your passion! Love!

When I was little I wanted to be an MP or Drill Sergeant; I come from a big military family. I was too short to qualify for either military positions and eventually I just got married and had kids and ended up a single mom. I worked in retail and was a professional criminal for a while; not that I'm proud of it. However, now I am a full time student, English Maj., getting straight A's, and working on my second Degree. I think that it is great how you have gone back to school. It is never too late to recreate yourself. : )

I wanted to be a cop, firefighter, air force pilot and soldier. Never made it there. Ended up doing technical college, got an office job, left there worked in construction, made Jacuzzis, moved from Europe to the US and now work in a lumber mill. Still dreaming of living of the interest of my fortune though.

I wanted to be a teacher, especially with special needs students, and have done so, and still love it, decades later.
I also work in retail management and sales for the extra income, we all know that teachers are very underpaid, and it is true.
Sounds like you are exploring your dreams, good for you.
Dreams and goals are a wonderful thing.
Have a good day.

I wanted to be so many things as a child and ambitious adolescent: actress, teacher, judge, president, optomitrist, psychologist...etc.
I worked for a bank for a while and will shortly be returning to school to become a surgical technologist working whatever job to pay the bills...
Life is so full of changes...

I wanted to go into the US Air Force.
I also wanted to be a cop.
I worked at the Texas Penetentiary and now at the State Psych Hospital, but about to go back to school for either my Social Work BS, or my LVN.
