I am 13 and a LARGE 34D. I am kind of tall, (5"6) but I am worried I'm not done growing. I know my cousin wants one- she's the same size as me, but 5"1', and a swimmer, so I am not sure if a 34D-34DD is large enough for a reduction.

I am also meaning if I am older, not now. Like if I were to stay the same.
Sorry if that may cause confusion.

Oh, and I do have back pain- mostly because of Scoliosis (sp?), but I do get red shoulders, even though the straps are too loose.

"am I big enough" is relative. As in, if YOU think you are too big and need a reduction, then you ARE big enough. Ignore those who say you should keep them.
If you have back pain and other health concerns because of your breasts (and at age 13, you are NOT done growing yet, so you could get even bigger!), insurance will cover it.
Usually PS's won't operate on someone so young BUT there ARE exceptions! I know plenty of girls under 18 that got it done because they had severe back pain.

That would depend on how you feel about yourself when you're older. I see nothing wrong with being a 34 D-DD. The problem comes when you start to feel the effects of the weight from it. I've taken care of lots of patients who said that they could not stand the back and shoulder pain that come with heavy, large breasts. Some have even told me that they could not wear strapless dresses, because the straps from their bra have caused marks on their shoulders. Then there are others that just didn't like the way they looked. A DD size could be large enough for a reduction.

I wouldn't change them unless they are causing problems like with your back etc...just try supportive bras. If you are overweight though...try losing some weight and your breasts should go down a little bit...
If they cause problems though...I would say you would be a candidate for a reduction after you are older.

I think you should just see if you grow into them. And If you feel later on that they are too big or they are giving you problems then y ou should have a reduction. But It is your choice and don't let anyone make it for you.

You don't need to be a certain size for a breast reduction- it's your choice no matter what size you are.

Don't let anyone change the way you are. Just be ok with that and love yourself.
