But that the company that made them originally is still in business and still makes relatively good candy bars?

For me it would be the Caramello stuffed with mint creme.

I love Mallow Cups....sometimes can find them in the stores, but not often. Cloz mentioned one site to find these candy bars...another one that has a lot of the above mentioned ones is blaircandy.com. Also see a lot of the old ones at Cracker Barrel.

Cloz...Necco Wafers are still around. Gave them out for Halloween. Love the all-chocolate ones best!

They really don't make the Reggie bar any more. You can apparently buy them on ebay (EW - old candy) You can still buy Zagnut, Clark Bars: and Zero, but you might have to order them through some place like http://www.candydirect.com or http://www.candyfavorites.com
Here's a list of no longer available candy:

now that I read this, I really miss Black Cow suckers!

ncgirl - try an almond Snickers.

I found Zeros at Walmart and our Dollar General store in Atlantic County, NJ. But they aren't the Polar Bear candy bars my grandfather used to sell in his general store.

Yes! I was just bemoaning the fact this past Halloween. Clark Bars. I can still remember the ad on TV. This giraffe says in a British accent, "I want a Clahk Bahr." Very funny, but I guess you had to be there . lol

I loved the mars bars and the marathon bars. I remember the marathon bars were caramel dipped in chocolate and looked like they were braided. They were almost one foot long.

Wasn't there a "Mountain" bar? It was in a silver and blue wrapper, chocolate on the outside and something creamy on the inside. I'm not sure that's what it was called but that's what I remember.

I believe they were made by nestle but I could be wrong,I took 2 bags in to school for my birthday when i was 9.Enough came in one bag to feed the class which left the rest for me to eat on the bus and finish at home. They were like a turtle caramel pecan bar and came in an orange wrapper.
