How many people does the President have the right to make disappear in the name of Terrorism without the benefit of Habeas Corpus? How long is it before he realizes that assuming this kind of power resembles that of a dictator and he uses that power to make you disappear because you object? At what point does the Congress stand up and do its duty to abide by the Constitution and get rid of this C student? If your so willing to give up this kind of power, then didn't Osama succeed, leaving us all shivering in our boots. for fear of another attack? Everyone that answers my question and is willing to give him this power... to do so is treason and you to are guilty. How many of you ever wondered why the Germans followed Hitler and didn't say "NO" or the Italians following Mussolini. Where they treasonous to their Constitution or did the gratification justify the means? We as Americans need to seriously thing about the road we follow and the risks we take with our democracy.

Sounds like you know about the world from the main stream media...no wonder you think the sky is falling.

One of the founding fathers said;"People who give up freedom for security deserve neither."
I as a conspiracy theorist (I don't believe in political parties though I have conservative morals and liberal open-mindedness) believe that the whole government is just a cover up for the true oligarchy that is taking place behind the scenes. The true rulers the Federal Reserve can do whatever whenever and the mainstream media will scratch their back if the oligarchy scratches theirs (ads that are shown on TV=media's "paycheck").
Look at the Electoral College, see how it basically allows the voting process to be nullified.

My science teacher (we discuss politics, science, math and what not) told me that the House of Representatives voted to impeach Cheney, but no one has seen him in a while, I wonder where he is.

Apparently, if you will excuse the rude analogy, a President nowadays can wipe his butt with the Constitution, and the spineless, weak-kneed Congress, so anxious to keep their fat little meal tickets, hardly utter a peep.

I'd say the last 8 years have been among the most shameful in US history, and will be recorded as "the start of the decline of the US Empire".

Those being held at Guantanamo are not covered by the U.S. Constitution or the 5th Amendment to that document. They are illegal combatants as defined in the Laws of Land Warfare (Geneva Conventions). In previous conflicts they would have been summarily executed after capture without any violation of international law.
In addition to being illegal combatants they are our sworn enemy, since their putative leader Usama Bin Laden declared war on us and the "crusader nations" in August of 1996. All of those involved with the Salafist Jihadist movement have sworn "Bayat" (Allegiance) to Bin Laden and the Salafist Jihadist cause of ending the Jahili world to bring about "Dar-Al-Islam" (the world of Islam) stretching from Spain to Indonesia under a single Caliph.
So, if I give them aid and comfort, or I go to war against the U.S. that is treason. The only crime defined in the U.S. Constitution which involves non-elected officials. Your definition of treason demonstrates that what you know about the Constitution I can fit into my baseball cap with enough room left over for a pint of water.
Your entire "discourse" only shows one thing clearly. You have a visceral hatred of George Walker Bush. It has nothing to do with the war. It has nothing to do with the legality of the method of detention we are using for those we have captured.
However, there may be a solution which will please you concerning those being held at Camp Delta at Guantanamo. You are free to give your address to the INS and volunteer to sponsor one of those unfortunate souls into legal residency in the U.S. I'm sure some accommodating member of Congress will even help arrange Section 8 Housing Assistance for that person so they can live nearer to you.
