NOT this year.

I stayed home and layed around all day.

I went last year for the first time ever. Even though I was at the stores by 6am I had aleady missed every sale that was to be had. They were sold out of everything, so why bother really?

It's only to get you up and out early so you will spend more money. I'm am so fed up with it all.

Oh and another thing....I found much better deals AFTER the black friday sales because they jack up the prices for black friday and the stores over buy so they"have to mark them back down"..

Honestly, what have we turned into to?

I used to go years ago but, it started getting so crazy I stopped. The stores have one or two items that they sell below cost just to get everyone all excited. But, they only have 15 or 20 of them so they are gone 1 minute after the doors open.

And our local news media hyped the sales up so much I wanted to scream. Every newscast for two weeks before Thanksgiving has some kind of story about Black Friday...how to beat the crowds...who has the best price...get there early because they only have limited quantities...blah blah blah.

I thought Christmas was about the birth of Jesus, and Chanukkah was about the miracle of the oil that burned for 8 days in the Temple.

No! I am not fighting crowds for not that great of deals. I think there will be greater deals as it gets closer to Christmas because the buying will drop off. I am not buying much this year anyway. Concentrating on the real meaning of Christmas.

No. its just so much commercialized BS. Not what Christmas is about anyhow. Whether or not one is Christian, the winter holidays are not meant to honor greed. And they shouldn't.

Nope. I went to the mall, but it was to drop up my cousins, but I also got some bowls (not on sale) for my mom for Christmas.
