Bleeding the air out of closed hot water system will make it work a lot better. Wether it be your auto or heatin system in your house. If the water can't circulate throughout the whole system you are not getting all the heat it was designed to put out. Air blocks the water from circulating through the system so the more air you get out the more efficient it will be.Not to worry about your auto as it handles the air problem on its own with the expansion tank This usually happens when you first turn on the heat in the Fall. Unless you drain the system during the heating system I wouldn'orry until Spring. Keep cheching the radiators/baseboards to make sure the are getting hot. If not try bleeding the again Look forward to tulips and springtime.

Yes. Not only does it make it more efficient but it stops the loud banging noises that sometimes happen during the circulation when air bubbles bang inside the system. You are best off to bleed off any air about once a month during the heating season.

air in the radiator will cause a "vacuum" block and stop the heated water from circulating, sometimes stop it altogether. You should "bleed" them twice during the season or, when they act up.
