Yes, because sometimes the marks take it to an extreme and grow an unexpedly large amount of hate towards heel wrestlers to the point of assaulting them physically..

No most people know it is part of a show. The only wrestler in the last ten years who I ever heard of getting a police escort when he left the arena was John Cena after One Night Stand 2

I assume all wrestling heels do have a couple bodyguards tp protect them 24/7.

Yes , I think most wrestlers like all other famous people have protection when they are in public if they didn't things would get completly out of control and crazy .
