They are pretending to have a conversation with someone in order not to feel like a loser. Pretty sad, huh?

It's sad when a person needs "help, advice" to buy a loaf of bread or a quart of milk! Can't a person do simple things by themselves. We better "evolve" a third arm because some things are meant to be done with two hands, e.g.- driving a car, pushing a shopping cart. And we worry about gas emissions; global warming is more likely due to all the "hot air" coming from these clueless cell-phone users!

If that's true nearly 1/3 of cell phone users are mentally ill. I think this statistic is a crock of **** funny you don't site a source for the info.

haha thats funny. I so do that when I think someone is going to try and talk to me. I used to work in the mall and i used to do it everytime i went on break so people would leave me alone and not try and talk to me and get me to buy something. But most of the time i was really on the phone anyway.

What if the phone rings while they are "pretending to have a conversation"? For goodness sake...do people seriously do this, or are you joking?

I am pretty sure that it is not a third, i think that is a little too much of a percentage of people that do that, even though i have never done that.

I think it is pretty sad that we as a society cannot seem to live without them sticking to our ears. I have one but it is only for emergencies - I don't use it otherwise.
