i've experienced both, and they both suck pretty bad. And both break your trust in the individual that's doing the talking. I'd prefer neither < really i would> but if i had to choose, i'd say, I'd rather be lied to. At least it doesn't cost my reputation any damage, and most likely, i'd figure out the person was lying anyways. I'm pretty good at that. ♥

*edit* yes i agree with some of the comments above; Rectifying the rumours is always a pain in the butt, and sometimes, the damage is so severe you really never gain all of your reputation back. And yes, being lied to sucks, but at least there's the hope of "i did it in your best interest honey" lol and it wasn't intentional to cause pain, whereas being lied about is. ♥

Lied about,

Lied to. Easier nipped in the bud than to hear lies about myself further down the road and address them when inconvenient to do so. Either is of no consequence though. Let the karma thing do what it does.

Probably lied to. I have only been lied about a few times, and it made me really upset!

Being lied to is just a form of betrayle. Being lied about can be disproven if its a bad rumor...or if its one that increases the intrest from the oposite sex, you can shrug it off and reap the benefits...I choose Lied about.

That's a terribly hard choice to make. Lied to, I think, because I've been lied about before and trying to rectify it was hell!
