I actually have done it before - turned out into a 11 month long relationship with all it's bad sides. And hardly any good sides.
Since I left that man, I've started believing those urban legends that those people you meet on the net are all insane obsessive maniacs... o.O

No because I am married. ..but also let me tell you something that just happened the other day. My sister and her husband had a girl come to their door frantically pounding on it and asking for help. She was from out of state, had met some guy online, who apparently is psycho. This guy was renting a house around the block from them. He was drinking and I guess she said something that offended him and he tried to strangle her. She was all bruised and everything, but lucky to be alive. My sister felt sorry for her and let her stay the night and they did call the police. Online dating is just a bad idea imo. You can't get an idea of how somebody really is until you have met them in person.

I married my hubby----we met online and a year later in person. Been together 4 years and we have a 10 month old daughter together. So my answer is obviously yes!!

I'm with someone....so no.....I think I would be very leary....but there r always exceptions...I'd take it real slow...
