Personally I think those are still fantastic.

But they are only still alive on my machine because I discovered the free servers being done by players. Both have over 300 servers that have various "fixes". Some wanted gains easier, some wanted them harder, some wanted all PvP, some wanted no pvp at all (or just arenas), some are crowded, some actually have wilderness, some are run by kids, some by adults, etc etc.

Now one of the first things I check is whether or not a game has free servers. If it does or doesnt weighs heavily on whether or not I buy it. Not that I mind paying to play, its just that its nice to know I have options if I get sick of the crowds and lags and cheaters before Im sick of the game.

If you dropped either of those with the idea that "it would be great if there was" then check out the free servers. Maybe someone else had the same idea.
