Black powder is made with charcoal ( carbon ) , Sulpher and saltpeter ( Potasium nitrate ) Charcoal may contain some sulpher but you won't be able to extract it without a pretty sophisticated lab.
By the way ATF will be very interested in you making it. Buying any large quantity of potasium nitrate or Amonium Nitrate you will be asked for ID and a record is kept.
