I don't really care about points. Sometimes, if you put a lot of thought into your response, it's nice to see that it was appreciated when the asker awards you with best answer. But mostly, the points/level system is meaningless to me.

i have 1000+ pts and i could care less...but i do like the satisfaction of getting best answer....its kinda like getting an award...a really small award....
