I always put on an Orphans Christmas party at my house for all of us who have family living abroad, interstate or no family at all like myself. People turn up with a plate of food or salad and b.y.o to add to the party and a $5 unisex gift to put under the tree. I have live music and also Santa turn up being summer here in Australia most end up in and hanging around my pool.

yes we always have a christmas party were everybody eats and gets full with turkey and 2 or 3 hours after we eat ,we pull out the alcohol and everybody has a good time,,,,,
