agreed ~ he only got the Strongman gimmick after being in the 96 Olympic weightlifting.
For sure he's strong, but he's kinda slow & lumbering. He plods in-ring & isn't that agile or talented even.At least Big Daddy V gives it a go lol !! All Mark Henry has is that running squash or the bear-hug.
He's nothing more than a jobber since he came back from injury.Even this week's S/D has seen him job to Finlay & H/swoggle.His best storyline & match was with The Undertaker & he really needs a new angle soon.
He's supposed to be trading places with Umaga. That way maybe Mark Henry will have a whole new roster to squash & fight with.

He received the Worlds Strongest Man title after he won the Arnold's contest , not after the Olympics as someone mentioned above. He was a decent big man until constant knee injuries kept shortening his in ring time. He needs to be in a stable or some other faction in order to be utilized correctly. Whatever he does, as long as he doesn't go back to that Sexual Chocolate gimmick Mark Henry Bar crap he's alright with me

I agree,
Mark Henry is not a good wrestler generally. He is powerfull and huge..no doubt about it.It is almost impossible to Batista bomb him or something and i'm not talking from the top rope. His gimmick is good as you said but he is not getting a pushed that fit his gimmick.
By beating some jobbers and some other guyz that are not even in a WWE contract..just in local wrestling associations is ridiculous.
If WWE decides to put him in a profitable and interesting storyline with someone that in the end Mark Henry will be the winner that will be cool for him. When he won the match of teh freaks on ECW i thought that he is going to make some good storyline but i was wrong..
Generally as a wrestler is not good as i said but you don't have to expect so much from a guy on 400 pounds and he is so massive except if his name is Big Van Vader...

I believe that Henry should have been the World Heavyweight champ after Batista was injured. But for some reason the WWE decided to give it to Rey, who got beat every time he faced Henry. In a non title match of course. WWE keeps sticking him up against the Undertaker, but he needs to be placed and given a real push. He deserves to at least get one title run in his career.

In the ring, he's pretty abysmal, but that's to be expected. He's not that bad of a heel, however, and the guy's current run has been admittedly great, plus in real life he's a great guy. He should never be a world champ, but he's a decent upper midcarder that could easily help get people over.

Mark Henry was screwed over by injuries.
If Mark Henry didn't get injured so much, he would've been a bigger name and gotten over greatly as a monster heel of face (he returned from one injury as face years ago). His wrestling's not great, but he is a big guy, so it is expected.

Highly Overrated. He should have stuck to strongman competitions. He's a complete stiff, and not stiff in a good way (ala Stan Hansen) more like stiff like Heidenreich

I actually can't believe he's still around, but having said that, he's injured all the time, and not that great a worker or talker. I disagree with the one person who didn't like "Sexual Chocolate." I thought that was his best run!
