I hate sitting on squished french fries, maple syrup fingerprints and crumbs.

I find that most of them do clean off the seats. It's part of the table cleaning process. Cheers!!

...doesn't sound like a high class place to me but more like a fast food joint.
Fast food joints hire folks for minimum wage and no benies ..doesn't give you much incentive to "go the extra mile " does it.
Yes I have seen it in "higher end" establishments too but that is just because some folks just don't have good work ethics and don't give a damn..

Most restaurants are quite diligent in insuring cleanliness,appearance, clean windows, bright lighting so that they pass inspection of the Health Dept. You must frequent a sloppily run establishment. If you don't like the mess why do you go? Find another place.

I agree that most of them do. As long as the server has time to properly clean the tables once a party has left, there is time to clean the seats. Besides, don't you look before you sit?? :-)

If you see something that the bus person missed all you need to do is ask for the seat to be wiped down.

They should wash the seats. I would walk out of the restaurant if I sat on something gross.

Some do, but usually they wash it with a nasty dirty rag that has no cleaner or bleach on it-just water..
Some dont clean at all, thats because of management or the owners, they prob dont know how germs are spread.. they just dont know the benefits.
And some just dont give a crap!

ive seen resturants wipe off the seats but if youve seen them not then its because they dont know its dirty(although they shouldnt have to), they're disgusting ppl, or they're too lazy.
