Wow! EW&F, Kool & the Gang, Temptations, Smokey, Teddy, Barry, Marvin...how can I pick just one? They each had their place in the music industry. Teddy & Barry were the "smooth" singers. Marvin could be smooth as well, but I thought his anti-war songs were so profound. EW&F and Kool & the Gang were great party/dance groups and the Temptations were one of those great "feel good" groups. All the acts you have listed were great, the ones I mentioned were just my faves. You've got some great groups/singers listed!

I like mostly all of them. For group I'll say the Temptations but I also love The O'Jays and the Four Tops. For singer Marvin Gaye but Michael Jackson was the best performer out of those named.

Earth, Wind, and Fire, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Parliament and maybe Funkadelic. But they are all really great.

your makin this alful tough! Equally, my top picks, in this order, would be: Barry White, Marvin Gaye, Lyonelle Richie & the Commodores, & then the Erath, Wind, & Fire!!! I'm primarily a Classic Rock fan, but these were some of the best that music has eve had to offer!!!!!

Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, although Marvin Gaye I loved and Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell were amazing together. "You're All I Need To Get By" one of my favorites.

Very hard to pick one. All of those are brilliant and made incredible music. Great question.
