When I was younger until I was 3 or 4 I had green blue eyes. As I got older they started to turn hazel. Then they changed into brown one eye was brown the other was a light brown. Now it looks like they are changing dark brown. Why is this happening? and will my eyes get lighter?

No funny questions please! I really would love to know why my eyes are chaning colors. Thanks.

It is not unusual for eyes to change color. Every baby is born with blue eyes, and unless he or she is meant to have blue eyes, the color generally changes as the child gets older. People with hazel eyes will notice the eyes change from green to brown, or a mixture of green and brown or blue and green. Although it is extremely rare, some folks have an eye of one color and the other of a different color. As people age, their eyes often become lighter. The iris, or colored portion of the eye sometimes just can't decide what color it wants to be, however, variety is the spice of life, so enjoy the various spectrums.
