Some analysts maintain that the United States is poorly served by a Congress that is often beset by inaction and localism. Supporters of the Congress maintain that the institution is a superior deliberative and representative institution. Which argument is the more persuasive and why?

Both arguments have merits, however, in a mere 231 years, America has become arguable the best nation on earth - and that speaks very well for the supporters.

Congress is too lazy. Got paid too much for putting a piece of paper into the ballot box.

They are indeed inactive, except when it comes time to try and vote for yet another bill that will eradicate a right or personal freedom of ours. Then they are Johnny on the spot.
