I'm sure that they do, but I just wonder how? As in, do you see pictures/colours etc, or is it more sounds and general feelings, tastes/touch etc?

Although I'm interested to hear anyone's opinions, I'd be especially interested to hear from people who are blind themselves.

I think dreaming must be a very different experience for someone born blind and someone who went blind later in life- if you're born blind you might have no concept of what "seeing" is actually.. like, whereas someone born with sight knows how the experience generally works and so may be more able to imagine solid images, even images of things they didn't see while able to see, but may have touched/smelt/heard etc. For instance, I read of one person who lost their sight seeing the faces of people he had met after going blind in his dreams after touching them and developing a "mental picture." I imagine that would kind of be like imagining how a character in a book looks (like a previous poster said!)

they prob picture the world in their own way. Like when you read a book (without seeing the movie first)..you picture how the characters look like and the story, how do you explain that if you never saw the characters in the first place? The mind jsut runs free....

I think so, but more hearing then seeing. Like dreams of conversation.

That's a great question! It like what are the thoughts of a person that was born def life.

Sure they do...just like deaf people still have thoughts. Dreams are creations of our mind... replayed events of the day...Their dreams may even be more intense then those who can see. You know how they say when you lose the use of one sense your other senses are heightened..that may be the case?
