The water from the ocean evaporates. ONLY the water evaporates, NOT the salt. The salt stays in the ocean :)

When evaporation takes place over oceans, only pure water is evaporated to become water vapour leaving behind other impurites including the salt. So, water vapour in the air is the gaseous form of pure water. When the vapour condenses to form clouds and the clouds give rain ,the water we get is pure water.
So,evaporation from oceans, condensation in the atmosphere and the subsequant precipitation is a distillation process carried out by nature. You may be knowing that the aim of the distillation process done in a laboratory is to get a pure liquid.Similarly pure water is got nature's help.

Seawater comprises of many types of minerals (mainly sodium chloride aka. table salt), metals (even gold!) etc dissolved in water. During evaporation, liquid water is converted to its vapor state, leaving behind the other stuff. This water reaches the atmosphere, forming clouds and eventually rain.
A simple experiment can be done to prove this:
1. Make up a solution of salt in water.
2. Boil this solution and place a cool plate on the surface till water droplets can be seen.
3. Taste the condensed water.
Note: Boil the solution gently to prevent sprays of the salt solution from getting on the plate.

when the water gets evaporated into the sky salt stays behind because its a solid so only water falls down when it rains

The technical or scientific name for the process is called distillation. When saltwater is heated the steam or water vapor that rises from it is fresh (also called "distilled" water, maybe you've seen this at the grocery store next to other bottled waters). In fact, this is exactly why the oceans are saltwater; as more and more water is evaporated from the ocean's surface, the saltier the water that is left behind becomes.

Becuase when the water evaporates, the salt gives out, and the water turns into fresh water. hope that helped. ;)
