The specs on your 3000 are more than high enough for WOW, with the possible exception of the video card.

If you have 1GB of memory, you can NOT add two more 500MB card (chips) as there are only two sockets in your machine. If you have a single 1Gb chip, you can add another chip of either 512Mb or 1Gb if you choose, but you should not have to have it to run WOW.

Check the WOW web site for the intel extreme graphics card in your 3000 to see if it is supported. You may need to purchase a better video card and install it.

2-512mb or 1 gig of RAM will do. It really doesn't matter. It's the same thing. Wow plays fine on my PC with 2-512mb of RAM installed.

Your memories have to be paired. You cannot mix and match the memories. You have to find out what is in yours and then read your manual to see what is required. Two computers with the same model numbers (Deminsion 3000) may require different configurations of memory.pp

RAM comes in 512Mb cards, not 500Mb. :)

1Gb of RAM = 2 x 512Mb RAM cards.

If you already have one gig, then you have the equivalent of two 512Mb cards.

What problems are you having installing WoW?

The problem is your video card. Everythingelse on your computer is fine. The best thing to do would be get a new graphics card.
