I would sign up and try, Seems like the people that are honest and need it can't get it. Stand tall don't lie for it,losing your soul is not worth all the money in the world.

You should prolly check with the welfare/ssi office as it varies by state. Most states you have to be a high percantage disabled to qualify if you are not a senior citizen.

You need to check with the Social Security Administration. You MIGHT be able to draw on your former spouse's benefits IF he paid enough in. You MIGHT be able to draw on your own IF you paid in enough.

Have you applied, it is difficult and usually involves appeals to get ss disability benefits.
