I disagree. They play in a tough conference and Arkansas is not a bad team. They actually have not played up to potential. I am disappointed at how Ohio State stays up so high when they play in one of the weakest conferences in D-I football. All SEC teams bring it, it doesn't matter your ranking. And if you don't bring it you will lose when you shouldn't. LSU had a bad first half and they ended up losing. It also didn't help that they faced arguably the best RB in the land.

ok I am very very very happy to see this loss but LSU was #1 for a reason. You have to remember how the BCS works. LSU had lost one game just like all the other teams so they deserved to be in the top 5. Now you have to remember how those BCS computers work... strength of schedule is how top teams get "screwed". OSU went down many spots as well as WV jumping past Mizz last week because of this. Now LSU plays in the most competitive conference in the country and that's why they are #1. The schedules of Kansas, WV, Mizz and OSU cannot touch the strength of LSU's. It doesn't matter how many points you win by a win is a win and that's how they've kept their spot for so long.
So although I DO NOT like them I feel they deserved the ranking that they had because they had lost one game just like everyone else and it was to a good team just like the other top teams.

The happiest human beings in CFB precise now are Boise State followers. The saddest human beings are in Oklahoma and the BCS. If ok. St loses to Oklahoma, there'll be some 'splainin to do if BSU is saved out of the call activity tremendously in desire of a one loss SEC group. Say what you desire approximately how solid LSU or Bama are this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, actuality of the project is an undefeated BSU group that began the three hundred and sixty 5 days interior the ideal 5 might deserve a shot for the "nationwide call" over a collection that already performed and lost to the in convention foe and didnt even get a shot at a convention call. confident Clemson would desire to leap up and be undefeated, yet i do no longer understand in the event that they'd. ok-State has basically performed on genuine opponent to date and could lose between the subsequent 3 video games. the only group that would desire to circulate undefeated and save BSU out is nice. State. In a manner, i'm hoping the different communities lose and that they positioned the rematch on the the call. that is going to ultimately be the dying knell those human beings needing a playoff will ultimately receive. conserving an undefeated Boise group out of the call activity in desire of a till now performed opponent will kill all legitimacy the BCS ever had. Then the playoff dream will ultimately come to fruition.

Finally there luck runs out. LSU is a good top-15 team but nowhere near a top-5 team. They claimed they has the best defense all season, and as you can see...they clearly don't. There defense got pounded all game by a 1-dimensional team. A great defense can easily take away either the run, or the pass, and Arkansas was a poor passing team all year. LSU will lose the SEC championship to Georgia and not even make a BCS game. Les Miles won't even coach LSU's bowl game because he will be head coach of Michigan by then.

My whole thought if the current season rankings is that no team is playing like a true national champion the way we are used to seeing.
At this point, it is really impossible to say who is better than who without a playoff. It pains me to say that because I am one of the few who for some odd reason like the BCS, but a bigger mess I have not seen.

I LOVE it. The ignorant LSU (and SEC in general) fans can crawl back under their rock and shut up.
First USC's fans were shut up and now LSU/SEC fans. Looks like Christmas came early.
So now, it looks like it;s going to come down to Kansas/Missouri against WVU. It's great to see programs on the rise. Ohio State is outside looking it and anything can happen.
Best of luck to all the Missouri, Kansas, Ohio State, and my fellow WVU fans. Should be a fun last stretch,
Oh and to LSU fans, don't be immature about this. Your team lost. Don't rip the teams ahead because they didn't. Don't blame refs. Until we have playoffs, this is how it will be. Sad but true.

Let me clear the air here. I hear rumblings of Ohio St. making the NCG. Well, if Missouri ends with just one loss.As does WV. then the Buckeyes lose out. Cause Missouri has one thing buckeyes dont....lol a WIN vs Illinois.
Also said weaks back that LSU was the second best Tiger team in the nation......MIZZOU.....RA

Oh yes, because we all know that Kansas, Missouri and WVU are much better than LSU
/sarcasm
Maybe LSU should leave the SEC and play a 95th ranked schedule so we can blow everyone out too.

they have barely beat soooo many teams this season. but this shows the weakness of the BCS rankings. its as WVU kicker Pat McAfee said where are the style points when you keep winning by 2. I think there should be a playoff in collage football only fair way to dub a true national champion

I am real happy, but not because I hate em, it's because I'm a Buckeye's fan and this is one of a few things that need to happen to put us the championship game. With the KU/Mizz game tomorrow, the loser of that game should drop below Ohio St and maybe by some odd change, UConn can beat WV, and then we'll be there.
