I love the feeling I get when I am getting ready to go to sleep. It's like I can feel my mind getting farther and farther away and I can feel my body going into relax mode. Anyone else think about this? I don't know why I find this so fascinating.

My daughter had her wisdom teeth pulled and she said the feeling of being put to sleep was worth it! She said she can remember then starting the IV and then bam "that's it"..

I think it is unusual to be aware of the process of losing consciousness, but it's something that I like to be able to do. Sometimes I just drop off but there are times when I slowly slowly sink into sleep; there is one point when I feel as though I am levitating and then i begin to feel very heavy and my mind slowly fades. Wonderful way to enter into sleep. I am envious if you do this all of the time.

Absolutley - you want to say something, but dont want to spoil the moment and begin to wake up. I think you have described 'drifting off' and its delicious. God help anyone who disturbs me when Im doing that - I would rather be woken from sleep than be interrupted drifting off. Sweet dreams!

I love it when I catch myself having the first thought that doesn't make sense before going to sleep.

Dreams are lived over there ,,,,, on that side , and walking over is more like flying , well ,,,, floating ,, flying is reserved for emergencies or taking you down slowly

Yes, it's an awesome feeling. I would say it's like floating on a cloud. Though I've never floated on one....I would imagine it would be like that.
