we have had a mice problem for 2 months now.. we thought we caught all of them with sticky traps but noticed they are back! we hate seeing the mice so we wanted to try some bait. we have a dog.. obviously we are going to keep it out of her reach and no i will not use a live mouse traps. I heard they leave and die if they don't will the mice smell? they are in a wall that we can't reach unless we knock the wall out. husband is allergic to cats so that isn't a option. Thanks

We put the little blue box of poison pellets in our crawl space under the house, and in the attic crawl space. So far, it has worked. The rodents leave the house to go look for water because the poison totally dehydrated them. We have a new little friend also so we put out new bait two days ago. I hope that is the end!

Yes, I hired a professional exterminator and he put decon instead of traps in my basement. Threre are drop ceilings and I guess one or more died up there.. The next thing I knew there were, no exaggeration, a million blow flies in my basement and then I had to get an exterminator for them. It was a nightmare! Decon does work better than traps, i think, but, unfortunately you have to deal with the decompestion and the horrible smell of the dead rodents. Traps, I feel do not work so well.. They never seem to produce many rodents. I think that they may be too smart for them..

Decon works great. All you have to do it pull the little tab on the box & place them under sink cabinets, behind the fridge, washer or dryer, in the garage, etc. & the work is done. No smell & no clean up.
Just be sure they are placed where animals & kids cannot get to them & not in drawers or cabinets where you store food.
We have (8) horses & I use them in the barn to keep the little buggers from living in the hay. We store the grain where they cannot get at it, but they will still live & breed in the hay.

Yes, De-Con works.
Yes, it's possible that some might die in the walls but not usually.....(They smell for a couple of days).
Sometime the mice just take it and hoard it also. Believe it or not sometimes the mice are fussy about eating it.
I figured that out, though..............Creamy (not chunky) peanut butter, heated in the microwave until it's soupy, mixed into the De-Con is too irresistable for them.
Wal-Mart has an off brand that's about half the price of De- Con and works just as well.

De Con really does work. Put it out until they stop eating it.
