Depends upon who they share it with. Some knowledge is better left out of the hands of some people.

Like who... a lawyer or accountant friend who won't give you free information ...... or someone who has researched something for a long time, and you want to reap the benefit ???
or just someone who feels that no-one understand anyhow and would rather keep it to themselves....
You probably know really smart people, who shared that knowledge to everyone, and people got sick of it... as they seemed arrogant, so they stopped sharing...
So, I think if you have a really good friend and ask for info, it is all right... but I would not bother just anyone to share for free....

I think it means that they dont really have the knowledge to begin with.....i mean that would be crazy not to share your knowledge with other people....1st of all sharing means you know what you are talking about and why not inform others and make them less ignorant there for i think the world would be a better place

By what right do you claim to have the necessity to know what others refuse to share? And by what right would you force it out of them? I don't believe you believe you ought to force it out of them, which means their right to refuse to share it trumps your right to know it.
Why are you bothered by people who produced an idea or gained knowledge when they don't give it you who neither produced it or gained it yourself?
Do you want their money, too?

It is my choice to share it or not! Some of the knowledge I have, I paid good money to obtain. I am very willing to share what I know, generally, because I love "helping" others. However, it is neither my obligation nor my duty.

I call them very intelligent. If they have knowledge that no one has, and they refuse to use it, they can completely use that knowledge to their advantage and have it one up one everyone around them. This is especially true if others do not know that they even have this knowledge!

What do you think of people who demand the fruits of others' work? Perhaps they are merely waiting for worthy recipients.
