Nursing homes really suck A$$. Just wanted to say that.

A place to put your parents when you no longer have any use for them.
I personally would not put anyone in them. It makes them age quicker and because they don't get regular visitors they tend to give up on life.

It's a sad place. I can understand why some elderly people must live in one, but sometimes I think some children of those residents just stick them there so they can be forgotten (relieve some of their guilt trip). I hope that makes some sense!

They do suck, but they are necessary for alot of people. I hope that I or my family ever has to live in one......pretty much is the end of living!

I work there and some are not so good...but in my experience there are a lot of us who work there who truly love the elderly...and feel fortunate that folks trust us to take care of their family members.

yes,my daughter is a R.N. and she was attacked a couple of weeks ago at work by a older man.he has since died.
