Do counter intelligence agencies of foreign countries track down every place and person the covert agent met with during their trips abroad as was the case with Valerie Plame with the CIA front company she was given for her cover?

Since this is a hypothetical question, its impossible to say for sure. That said, the contacts who assisted Valeria Plame are verly likely in danger even now. Her focus was containing nuclear proliferation in the Middle East.

If the covert agent did the job like he should, then he only met people who could be in danger as a result in private and no one else knows about the meeting, so no, there is no increased danger to those people. If, however, the supposedly under cover agent is a publicity seeker and had an even worse publicity seeker for a husband, then they will do as Plame and Wilson did and tell everyone they can about the agents job and that might cause trouble. Why do you ignore the fact that Joe Wilson introduced Plame as his "CIA wife" every chance he got? Why do you ignore the fact that Plame had her own personal parking space at CIA headquarters, and had a CIA parking sticker on her car? If she was covert, then I'm Santa Claus.
It's amusing how you liberals make up a lie and no matter how many times your lie is discredited you still try to pass your lie off as the truth in hopes of fooling the gullible.

Every person Plame contacted and their families were all put on a hit list by Bush's Whitehouse Cronies.

It's almost murder by proxy. When the information comes out it will be interesting to see who got killed as a result of Plame's outing.

Was Plame the target or the trigger?

yes. and all the money that was spent in training, development and missions is all wasted.

the facts are she was a covert agent.

all those who say she wasn't are ignoring a crime committed, by this President and Vice President, against national security. otherwise known as treason. and an impeachable offense if you sorta hold the hightest job in the Executive Branch under the Constitution.

here's the argument and the facts: note the date!

so - those who continue to say she wasn't covert or that she was merely a secretary are merely lying. their untruths support treason.

the facts are plainly obvious that an investigation would have legs. now, whether the House has the guts to start that investigation (read: impeachment proceedings), remains to be seen. it is up to us to push our elected representatives.

When you sign on to be with a spy agency, you are voluntarily putting a target on your back 24/7.

I doubt it. Luckily, Valerie Plame wasn't undercover when she was "outed" by Armitage, so there's no worry. If she was already doing the Georgetown Party Circuit, should she have been more careful?

What was her cover? Secretary at Langley? What was her husbands duties? Did she go abroad with her husband on tax payer money? What company was the front? She was never an agent, covert or otherwise.

Yep...so it stands to reason that we're still watching the sneaky foreign bastards further exploit their unmasked sources.
